Acrylic Tool: I really need to rename my tools pff. Reason I like it though because its really good to lay down the colours you're going to use, as it's slightly see through, without making it look messy.ĥ. I use this one to lay down my colours while painting and not much else. Marker Tool #2: Completely different to marker tool one. Pencil Tool: Basically the same as the pen tool you automatically get in SAI, but with slightly changed settings for sharp, crisp and smooth lines C: I always use this one for lineart.Ĥ. ( fav.me/d6v9lg6 as shown here) Picture above is a really bad example of what it is capable of, sorry ahaha :Lģ. Marker Tool: I mostly use the Marker tool for sketching, because it's soft and subtle and lines just turn out so much nicer <3 Also good for bushes or leaves. It's nice and smooth and especially good for grass, fur, and small details.Ģ. It blends really nicely but you have to merge all your layers. Painting Brush: The Brush I use for most of my painting. These are my favourites/the ones I use most C:ġ. Thought I'd share some of my brushes since a couple of people have asked <3 I don't know how to fix issues with brush settings not saving sorry! if these aren't working, it is most likely a problem with your SAI you need a TABLET for these to work as you need pen pressure which a mouse does not have Newer versions of SAI don't have some brush settings but you can download them here: /1/4307… I like it a lot for blending colors together and it's nice because you can get into tight spaces and make things look smooth that you couldn't do just using a gradient tool in another program.IT SAYS IN THE DESCRIPTION HOW TO MAKE THEM, YOU DONT DOWNLOAD THEM If you've ever seen any gradients in my stuff, blended markings, or blended shading I use this brush. *Brush Base: I don't think this is really any different than the default Water Color brush that SAI comes with? can't remember if I've changed anything *Stabilizer: usually 5, but sometimes more sometimes less. I think it just looks nicer and also kind of modeled it after the writing brushes of one of my fav artists, PandaLynn/ButtBear. I like to write with a brush that doesn't have pressure sensitivity for the width. *Brush Base: also use the Pencil brush for this brush's base haha I try to shoot somewhere in the middle at around 3 *Stabilizer: 0-5 since I write pretty quick and too much stabilizer makes it wonky. *Size: depends on what size writing I'm doing This brush isn't quite as harsh as the default Pencil brush you get with SAI, but it's still nice and clean. *Brush Base: I also used the Pencil brush for this brush's base *Stabilizer: 10-15 is used unless I need to draw a long sweeping line, then I use S-7 *Size: usually 2-4 depending on the size of what I'm drawing and for tags I use 1 or lower Occasionally I'll use it for lines, but not too much. I still use it for base coloring and shading. I used to use this brush for lining a lot, but now I like the harder lines a bit more. *Brush Base: you would use the Pencil base to make this brush using these settings I usually use 5 for most things now because I feel that it gives everything a much smoother look than just 0 *Size: depends on how big the picture is that I'm shading and basically just what would be convenient at the time I hope that these settings help you and let me know if you have questions! Sorry it's messy and rushed, but I'll type the descriptions down here in case it's hard to read. So I really don't use that many different brushes in SAI lol But people have asked me what my settings are so I'll put 'em up :3
